DIE ACTIVE: Black Night

I do a lot of art creation and mentoring through DIE ACTIVE Art Collective in Thunder Bay, which is a group of young artists creating zines, wallbombs, art shows... just so many different things. The collective is run out of Definitely Superior Art Gallery (Def Sup to her friends) and for the past four years, Def Sup has been gracious enough to allow us to have a members show. The past few years we've incorporated spray painting, drawing, wheatpastes and brush painting on the walls of our shows. This past year we opted to forego any pre-made pieces and focused on creating original work on the gallery walls. And of course we had to make it a neon based black light show to boot.

Here are a few of my pieces I re-created for the show. Enjoy!

Childhood Treasures (Finn)

I was thinking about things I used to want as a kid and thought about how cool it would be to find them like treasure in a cave or on top of a mountain after defeating a perilous foe. So then I did this.

Salem's Grand Adventure

A commission for my good friend Erin's son Salem on his 3rd birthday. Such an honour to create this for him!
